Bruxism, also known as teeth grinding and jaw clenching, can be treated by weakening the masticatory muscles, with injections just enough to reduce bruxism; by lessening the muscles’ ability to clench and grind the jaw. This involves a series of injections that are carefully administered in order to retain all the normal functions of chewing, talking and smiling.
Candidates for this treatment will be experiencing persistent bruxism problems, whether during sleep or waking hours. Prior to any treatment full medical history will need to be established.
