What to expect
A detailed consultation allows us to plan the exact treatment that is right for you. Firstly we ask what your concerns are and from here we make a full facial assessment to see how or whether we can help you. We often ask about emotions, if we can ascertain how you feel your face looks (ie cross, grumpy, saggy, sad) this can give us a really good starting point. Some patients require a plan of treatment delivered over several sessions to get optimal lifting, volumisation and youthfulness restored whilst other may only need one treatment session. This will be dependant on what we want to achieve, budget and age. We allow plenty of time to discuss treatment options and for you to ask as many questions as you like. Following your consultation and after gaining full consent, confidential photographs are taken for use within your treatment plan. Dependent on the treatment, local anaesthetic can be applied to the area. Before we proceed to the treatment we then prepare the injection site with a skin disinfectant. Treatment times and recovery can vary, your Surrey Hills Skin Clinic clinician will take you through all aspects of the treatment during your consultation.
Post treatment advice
- Avoid touching the treated area for 6 hours following treatment
- Avoid saunas and sun beds the day of the procedure
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
- Do not apply make-up on the day of the procedure
- Do not massage unless advised by your clinician
- A cool pack maybe gently applied to the treated area
